Megan brings over two decades of experience building programs, organizations, and systems that promote developmental opportunities for youth. Past roles have included directing a neighborhood-based youth and family organization, leading a statewide professional learning community supporting social-emotional learning implementation practices and policies within school districts, and providing direct grant writing support to community-based organizations. Megan’s work consistently centers around developing relationships and building capacity to support effective collaboration, communication, and mission-driven work.
At GPG, Megan’s key projects include:
- Supporting community schools initiatives, including grant applications and award implementation, within California school districts;
- Providing workgroup facilitation and leadership within California’s Universal Pre-Kindergarten (UPK) efforts, focusing on support systems and resources that support statewide UPK roll-out;
- Conducting research, data analysis, and an in-depth report on California Math Educator Networks for the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation; and
- Writing and editing support across various GPG reports and documents.
Outside of work, Megan enjoys coaching her two sons on their respective soccer teams, connecting with family and friends, and spending time outdoors on walks, hikes, bike rides, and puttering around in the backyard trying to keep the landscaping alive.
