Aaron provides overall leadership to the GPG team and is involved in the design, management, and implementation of many GPG projects. Aaron has worked in support of organizations and initiatives focused on a range of issue areas including early childhood, K-12 education, expanded learning, community schools, student behavioral health, workforce development, criminal justice, emergency services, Internet access, and food access. This work has included:

  • Organizational development and strategic planning for nonprofit organizations like Izzi Early Education, Sunrise of Philadelphia, and SupplyBank.Org; and public agencies such as Alum Rock Union School District, California Commission on Teacher Credentialing, Contra Costa Community Services Bureau, and Moreland School District.
  • State systems building to strengthen early care and education, including coordination of California’s Universal PreK Mixed Delivery Quality and Access Workgroup and development of the State of Wyoming’s Early Childhood Needs Assessment and Strategic Plan
  • Development of cost models, allocation calculators, and projection tools in support of policy development and implementation (e.g., to estimate the cost of child care reimbursement rate reform in California), and for internal organizational planning (e.g., to establish multi-year revenue and expense projections).
  • Support for grantseeking efforts including funding opportunity research and monitoring, bid/no-bid analysis, and the development of successful grant applications to federal, state, local, and private funders.

Outside of work, Aaron spends time with his wife and daughter, and plays guitar and mandolin.
