Zachary brings strong background in mixed methods research and evaluation, specializing in social policy. He has specific expertise in survey analysis, interviewing, focus groups, literature reviews, and primary source historical research. Prior to GPG, Zachary worked as a research associate at Public Policy Associates, where he assisted with Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act-funded evaluations. Before joining PPA, he worked at the Center for Urban Studies at Wayne State University in Detroit, where he helped lead Healthy Homes and AmeriCorps Urban Safety initiatives. He received his Master of Social Work at the University of Michigan where he served as a research assistant at the Center on Assets, Education, and Inclusion, conducting research on an Oakland Promise college savings account project. During graduate school Zachary interned at the Human Trafficking and Social Justice Institute and at the Community Mental Health Partnership of Southeast Michigan. Zachary has experience substitute teaching in Detroit as well as teaching English as a second language abroad.
In his role at GPG, Zachary is currently working on a needs assessment of early childcare services in Wyoming.
