After a Yearlong Planning Process, Statewide Comprehensive Early Learning Plan Published

The California Department of Education (CDE), Child Development Division (CDD) published the California Comprehensive Early Learning Plan (CCELP) late this summer. The CCELP lays out a direction for California in the development of a high-quality birth-to-five system that provides all children with the knowledge and skills they need to achieve long-term success. It frames the four key drivers and six essential elements of a coherent system that will deliver better results for children and families; the plan is based upon extensive research and the input of more than 2,700 stakeholders.

Developing the CCELP was an opportunity to convene California’s diverse early childhood education stakeholders in a conversation on their hopes and dreams for the future of the state’s early learning services for young children. The development of the CCELP was grounded in both analysis of research and the experience of those in the field.

The Glen Price Group is proud to have supported the development of the CCELP with designing and implementing the extensive stakeholder engagement process and strategic planning.
