MacArthur Foundation Concludes First Round of 100&Change Program

On December 20, 2017, the MacArthur Foundation concluded the first round of its 100&Change program by granting a $100 million award to Sesame Workshop and International Rescue Committee (IRC) . This $100 million award was the result of a multi-step process to identify a single proposal “that promises real and measurable progress in solving a critical problem of our time.” In October 2017, the foundation selected eight semi-finalists out of the 1,904 proposals they received, each with a video pitch and narrative response .
