Co-Executive Director, Kids in Common – San Jose, CA: January 2001 – April 2002; Secured funding from government, corporate, foundation and individual donors to support projects including the multi-agency “Greenbook” Domestic Violence Demonstration Project, the annual Gift of Reading book collection and donation program, publication of the Silicon Valley Children’s Report Card. Worked with the board of directors to refresh mission and vision and strategic plan following agency reorganization in 2000.

Western Region Chair, Planned Parenthood Federation of America: 1999 – 2001; Worked with CEOs and volunteers from the forty affiliates in the western states on policy and service issues impacting the mission of PPFA.

Kensington Education Foundation: 1994–2000, President 1998–2000; Presided over parent/volunteer board of 20 and oversaw fund raising of $120,000, in support of enrichment classes and supplies for Kensington Elementary School students, teachers, and staff.
