City of Galt Walker Park Master Plan

In August, an Ad Hoc Committee was convened to develop a Master Plan for Walker Park. The committee met during the summer, on August 3, August 18, and September 15, and a final meeting is scheduled for October 12. The committee’s recommended Master Plan for Walker Park will be reviewed by the Galt Parks and Recreation Commission on October 27, and forwarded to the Galt City Council, which will meet on Tuesday November 2 to consider the final Walker Park Master Plan.

The Ad Hoc Committee organized Community Workshops to provide for public participation in the planning of Galt’s newest public park. Two meetings have been held so far, on August 18 and September 1. The final Community Workshop is scheduled for Wednesday October 13.
