Thank you for your interest in organizing a Stakeholder Input Meeting for the California Comprehensive Early Learning Plan (CCELP).

What is “Host a Meeting”?

It is an opportunity for organizations or networks to host their own stakeholder input meetings to participate in the development of the CCELP. We provide meeting hosts with an easy-to-use toolkit (below) and webinar overview (sign up below) to organize either in-person or online meetings with stakeholders.

Why?

California is a huge state with early learning and care system needs as diverse as its geography and population. In order to develop a truly comprehensive statewide early learning and care system, the CCELP must be informed by a variety of perspectives throughout the state. The stakeholder input meetings are an important part of the CCELP participatory strategic planning process. These meetings allow the people, like you, who are involved in and impacted by the work of early learning and care on a daily basis—and who may not be able to attend one of our regional work shops due to distance, time, and resources—to help develop the CCELP.

Your local or virtual stakeholder input meeting will help us to capture a greater picture of the early learning and care landscape and provide us with useful input for the CCELP, making it a truly comprehensive plan.

Who is this option for?

Groups of early learning and care stakeholders who are unable to attend a Regional Workshop.

There are two types of meetings you can organize:

• A Local Stakeholder Input Meeting for groups who are able to physically convene with each other for a meeting; and
• A Virtual Stakeholder Input Meeting, for groups (such as statewide networks) who are unable to physically convene with each other for a local meeting. This option is facilitated online by the Glen Price Group.

How?

If you are interested in hosting your own local meeting or organizing a virtual meeting the CCELP Toolkit will help you do so. Please view the Toolkit webinar recording to learn how to use the toolkit to host your own meeting.

When?

All meetings may be scheduled at your convenience. All notes from local input meetings are due by November 16th to the Glen Price Group for inclusion in the CCELP development process.

• organizing and conducting your own local meeting of stakeholders, or
• coordinating with the Glen Price Group to organize a virtual meeting for a group of geographically dispersed stakeholders.
