Congratulations to the Early Childhood Education program of the University of California, Berkeley on their 4-year grant award of $1,006,820 for child care services for student parents. Each year, the program will receive nearly $252,000 in US Department of Education funds for the Cal Child Care Access Means Parents In School (CCAMPIS) Scholars program. These funds will support a specialist to work with student parents, helping them locate child care on campus and in the communities where they live. Funds will also be used to develop a student parent co-op serving infants and children, expanding UCB child care campus capacity while reducing child care costs. The Glen Price Group was pleased to work with Early Childhood Education and UC Berkeley staff in developing this application.
