San Francisco’s Glide Foundation Receives Department of Labor Funding for Youthbuild Program. The Glide Foundation learned on Friday, October 12th that it was the recipient of a one-year federal grant of $514,000 to support the operation of its Youthbuild employment training program. Glide Youthbuild provides construction training and educational opportunities for at-risk youth from the San Francisco’s Bayview, Tenderloin, and Mission neighborhoods. Pending the expected approval of the congressional appropriation for FY 2008, Glide will receive an additional $515,000 for a second year of program operations, bringing the total to $1.03 million over two years. The Glen Price Group has worked with Glide since 2004 and has assisted the organization to identify and secure over $2 million dollars in funding for its programs and services.
