December 2006

Wednesday, December 27th, 2006

During this past year, the Glen Price Group had the opportunity to assist our clients with many exciting initiatives. On December 26, 2006 memorial services and remembrances were held throughout south Asia commemorating the devastating tsunami that struck on that same date in 2004. GPG has been proud to work with the American Red Cross in the development of a detailed strategic plan for its Tsunami Recovery Program. See stories highlighting the American Red Cross five-year recovery plan featured on Good Morning America (Print | Video).

Our hearts are further gladdened during this holiday season with word that the state of California Corrections Standards Authority is providing a $819,916 grant to the County of Sonoma Department of Probation for the Partnership for Assertive Community Treatment (PACT). PACT will work to reduce the rate of recidivism for youth with mental disorders in the juvenile justice system. Go PACT!November 2006

Congratulations to The San Francisco Foundation (TSSF), which on behalf of the Bay Area Workforce Funding Collaborative (BAWFC), recently received a $105,000 grant from the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation in support of a 24-month evaluation of the Collaborative’s grantmaking programs. Formed as a public/private partnership bringing together thirteen private foundations and the California Employment Development Department (EDD), BAWFC fosters innovative workforce development programs and partnerships throughout the San Francisco Bay Area.
