San Mateo Community College District (SMCCD) launches innovative workforce development programs.
The Glen Price Group assisted the SMCCD to plan for and successfully fund new programs in the areas of judicial and insurance careers. The new efforts involve extensive partnerships and collaboration with Workforce Investment Boards, employers, and community-based organizations. The programs are being funded through matching resources provided by partners and grants from the Chancellor’s Office of the California Community Community Colleges (see: the CCCCO web site). The proposal for the insurance program, developed by the Glen Price Group, was the top ranked application in the California Community College’s recent “Industry Driven Regional Collaboratives” competition.
