On October 19, 2005, the U.S. Department of Labor awarded $125 million to 70 community colleges nationwide competing for the President’s Community-Based Job Training Grants. Congratulations to Solano Community College, who, in partnership with Rockridge Partners secured a $1.2 million grant for the Community-Based Insurance Careers Program. in California that unites community colleges, workforce investment boards, businesses, and the K-12 system.

The County of Sonoma Board of Supervisors has announced its decision to continue its successful partnership with GPG for another three year period. Since 2002, the County of Sonoma and GPG have collaborated on development of grant requests, staff training, and funding opportunity research. During this time, GPG has assisted the County in bringing in over $3.7 million in private and public funds, including: funds to acquire property to create the 1700-acre Tolay Lake Regional Park in southern Sonoma County and the second largest grant made in California by the Department of Homeland Security to the County of Sonoma Department of Emergency Services for the purchase of urgently needed communications equipment. GPG looks forward to a successful collaboration with the County of Sonoma during the next three years.

Southwest Community Health Center (SCHC) of Santa Rosa, which provides high quality, comprehensive medical and preventive healthcare to low-income, medically underserved, and uninsured residents of Southwest Santa Rosa, has contracted with the Glen Price Group as counsel for their upcoming capital campaign to raise funds to develop expanded facilities in response to growing community needs and demand for services. GPG is excited about contributing to this effort and helping to build a strong and successful campaign!
