Congratulations to the Oakland Private Industry Council (PIC) for emerging with the highest rated proposals in response to the Oakland Workforce Investment Boards RFP seeking potential contractors to serve as One-Stop System Administrator and One-Stop Center Operator. In the face of heated competition, involving several local and national for-profit companies, the PIC emerged with the evaluation team’s highest scores.

Many thanks to the David. B. Gold Foundation for providing a big boost to the County of Sonoma’s efforts to acquire the Tolay Lake Ranch for a new regional park in the form of a $125,000 grant for the acquisition campaign. All told, supporters have now raised over $15.2 of their $18 million goal (see: www.friendsoftolay.org)!
