With a 71% YES vote for Measure B, a parcel tax for the West Contra Costa Unified School District, The Glen Price Group thanks the supporters and volunteers who made the campaign a success. Measure B raises $8 million per year to support critical programs for students including class size reduction, counselors, libraries, and much more.
The City of Richmond’s Kids First! Initiative and has been awarded a new 21st Century Community Learning Center grant for after school programs at King and Lincoln Elementary Schools. Building on support from the Bay Area Partnership, the Napa County After School Partnership (NCASP) also received one of these highly competitive grants for programs at five schools from two different cities: three schools in the City of Napa - Pueblo Vista Elementary School, Bel Aire Park Elementary and Harvest Middle School; and two schools in the City of Calistoga - Calistoga Elementary School and Calistoga Junior High School. Students at all of these schools will now enjoy after school academic and literacy activities along with recreation and cultural enrichment in the after school hours!
Hearty congratulations to the YMCA of the East Bay/Tri-Valley Branch for the successful completion of a competitive proposal and bidding process enabling them to continue providing their excellent school age child care program to the Pleasanton Unified School District at three elementary schools!
